Bertan Güler completed his diploma studies in Business Mathematics at the University of Karlsruhe (TH) in 2008 and subsequently gained many years of experience in the financial sector. He worked in both risk and portfolio management for insurance companies and hedge funds, specialising in quantitative investment strategies with a focus on loss limitation.
Convinced by the scientific method, he was able to gain solid and practically applicable insights through its consistent application in his professional work, including on the topic of financial market crashes. Thanks to his affinity for IT, he programmed efficient testing and analysis tools that enable the systematic collection and processing of large amounts of data.
His interest in medical studies motivated him to begin a second Master’s degree in Applied Statistics with a focus on Health Sciences at the University of Strathclyde in 2020, which he successfully completed in 2025.
