Dr. Meriton Ceka is a Project Leader and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Marketing and Customer Insight at the University of St. Gallen (IMC‑HSG), under Prof. Dr. Sven Reinecke. He earned his Ph.D. (Dr. oec. HSG) in Sport Management & Sports Marketing (2020–2024), focusing on digital activation in sports sponsorship.
Prior to his doctorate, he completed a B.A. in Business Administration (2013–2017) and an M.A. in Corporate Management (2017–2019) at St. Gallen.
Since 2016, Dr. Ceka has been instrumental in executive education at HSG, coordinating continuing education, custom programs, and the Best Practice in Marketing knowledge-exchange platform. He also lectures in Sports Management and Sports Marketing at both the University of St. Gallen and FH Graubünden.
His professional career includes extensive work in digital marketing across consumer goods, agencies, start‑ups, and sports organizations. As an entrepreneur, he founded Delta Lektorat—a leading academic editing and coaching platform—and Webface, a digital marketing agency. He's also Managing Director and competition trainer at Azem Kampfsport since 2017 and serves as a football referee for FC St. Gallen on weekends.
His research passions lie at the intersection of sports marketing, sports management, and digital sponsorship activation, bringing together academic rigor with real-world impact.
